The Series III chamber is a combination of form and functionality. Twenty years of clinical and emergency response experience has culminated in our design of this innovative chamber which is tailored to the needs and the comfort of both the patient and the operator.

Design

This versatile chamber evolved from the Sands designed transportable chamber which continues to be used by the United States Navy, Coast Guard and the Marine Corp. The design criteria was simple…respond to the needs of the patient. Infants, the elderly, patients who may be obese (up to 350lbs) even those patients who require unique positioning to reduce pressure on a wound or an ulcerated area were considered.

Large windows were incorporated into the design to reduce confinement anxiety and allow for visual contact with the patient. The spacious compartment allows for variable patient positioning and comfort of even larger patients. The ‘zero gravity’ reclining chair can be instantly converted into a flat bed stretcher and allows for easy and comfortable loading of patients who are in a coma state or those who have had a tummy tuck or breast reconstruction. The large doorways were specifically designed to allow for easy patient placement and removal by staff.

The Series III chambers are made of rugged stainless steel in the USA and weigh less than a third of the acrylic tube chambers.
